These terms apply to all driving lessons and courses booked with L2PWatford. By booking a lesson you agree to them. If anything is unclear, please get in touch before you book.

1. About us

L2PWatford provides independent driving lessons in Watford and the surrounding area, in manual and automatic cars. You can reach us on (+44) 7400362306, by WhatsApp, or at [email protected].

2. Booking lessons

  • Sending a form on our website is an enquiry, not a confirmed booking.
  • A lesson is booked once we confirm the date and time with you by phone, WhatsApp, text or email.
  • Lessons start and finish at the agreed pick-up point, unless we agree otherwise.

3. Prices and payment

  • Our current prices are shown on our home page in pounds sterling. We may change prices, but never for lessons you have already paid for.
  • Single lessons are paid at or before the start of the lesson.
  • Block bookings and intensive courses are paid in advance, before the first lesson.
  • If you stop a block booking early, we will refund the hours you have not used. We first take off the difference between the single-hour price and the block price for the hours you have already had.

4. Cancelling or moving a lesson

  • Please give us at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or move a lesson.
  • If you give less notice, or you are not at the pick-up point, the full lesson fee is payable. For block bookings, the lesson counts as taken.
  • We will wait up to 15 minutes if you are late. The lesson still finishes at the booked time.
  • If we have to cancel, we will give you as much notice as we can. You can choose a new time at no cost or a full refund for that lesson.
  • We may cancel a lesson in bad weather or unsafe road conditions. You will not be charged.

5. What we need from you

  • You must hold a valid UK provisional or full driving licence and show it to us at your first lesson.
  • You must be able to read a car number plate from 20 metres, using glasses or contact lenses if you need them.
  • You must tell us about any medical condition or medication that could affect your driving.
  • You must not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • If we believe it is not safe for you to drive, we may end the lesson early. In that case the full fee is payable.

6. Driving tests

  • The practical test is run by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). The test fee is paid to the DVSA and is not included in our prices.
  • We will only let you use our car for your test when we believe you are ready to pass. We will agree any charge for using the car on test day with you in advance.
  • Please tell us your test date as soon as you book it, so we can make sure we are available.
  • If the DVSA cancels or moves your test, we are not responsible for any costs this causes.

7. Intensive courses

Intensive courses fit many hours of driving into a short time. Test dates depend on the DVSA, so we cannot promise a test on a particular date, and no course can guarantee a pass.

8. Our responsibility to you

  • All lessons take place in a dual-controlled car that is insured for driving tuition.
  • We are not responsible for losses that we could not reasonably have foreseen, or that were not caused by us.
  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
  • These terms do not affect your legal rights as a consumer.

9. Complaints

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you book applies to that booking. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
